Ikuze, is a sushi bar specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine. It is located in the new food quarter of the Metrocentre, the UK’s largest shopping mall. The design draws on ideas from origami, featuring continuous clean lines. Including; oak flooring that folds around the wall, floor & ceiling incorporating traditional style tatami seating. The scheme is also inspired by the natural ingredients of the food and is therefore made up of an array of natural materials such as stone, white oak, corten, wool and glass.
