Inspired by the prohibition of the 1920’s and as part of a regional food & drink festival, a secret venue was created to host a week-long speakeasy. Visitors located the venue by answering a riddle, an old railway warehouse posing as a 1920’s wage collection office led  visitors through a passage and to the secret room. Drinks were discreetly served in teacups and the interior made use of net curtains, mismatch chairs and empty wine boxes. The events intension was to educate drinkers into drinking better quality drinks in smaller quantities and experts travelled from throughout the UK to host events. Events ranged from masterclasses led by Wayne Collins, drink-a-long movies including casablanca and sideways, to a flamboyant all swinging fancy dress party!
